This policy explains what information is collected, why it is held, and how to have it erased. It is short and transparent because minimal personal data is collected.
What is collected
If you create an account: a username, an email address, and a password. The password is never stored in plain text — only a salted PBKDF2 cryptographic hash, from which the password cannot be recovered. Nobody here can read your password, which is also why forgotten passwords must be reset rather than retrieved.
If you sign in with Google: your name, your email address, and authentication confirmation from Google that the address is yours. Nothing else. QuantSmart requests zero access to your Google account files, contacts, drive, or other profile assets.
If you pay: the transaction reference or UTR number you send and the amount paid, recorded against your account to verify access. Payments are handled via Razorpay or direct bank transfer, so full credit card and debit card numbers never touch this site.
What is NOT collected
- No trading account details, Demat account numbers, broker credentials, or live portfolio holdings.
- No third-party advertising trackers or invasive behavioral analytics scripts.
- No payment card numbers or CVVs.
- No location tracking beyond standard web server access logs.
Why it is held
To authenticate your account, apply the appropriate access tier (Free or Pro), and reply to your queries. That is the entire purpose. It is never sold, shared, monetized, or leveraged to build marketing profiles.
Where it is stored
On secure cloud servers located in Google Cloud's Mumbai region in India. All backups remain in India.
Data retention
Personal account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. Upon written request, your account and associated records (email, payment notes) are permanently erased within seven days. Server logs (which record standard IP addresses for operational security) are automatically purged after 30 days.
Your rights under Indian DPDP Act, 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access the personal data held about you, have inaccurate data corrected, or request complete erasure. Email the address below and your request will be executed directly.
Your Strategy Privacy: The trading strategies and backtests you configure and run are computed dynamically in memory. They are not saved against your identity, not inspected, and not used for proprietary trading or commercialization by QuantSmart.
Cookies & Local Storage
No tracking or advertising cookies are set. Authentication tokens are maintained in session memory for your active browser session and are cleared when the browser tab closes.
Changes to this Policy
If this policy changes materially, the date above will be updated and registered users will be notified by email.
